This person is a problem solver and a solution finder and should have a background creating work in the advertising industry as well as the ever changing and demanding entertainment field of both television and features.
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent from two- or four-year college or technical school; four years related experience. Minimum 3-5 years experience working with Nuke.
Communications and Media:
Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language. Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients or employees of organization.
Computers and Electronics:
Knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in the following applications: The Foundry’s Nuke and Adobe Creative Suite. Additionally, he or she should be knowledgable with Python Scripting for Nuke along with Maxon C4D and Autodesk Maya. Ideally, this individual will also have knowledge in any FX-heavy software package (i.e. Houdini & Realflow). Some basic knowledge with finishing software, such as Flame and Smoke, would also be beneficial but not a must.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
