Sarofsky

PEOPLE ALERT

It’s that time of year again, kids! No, don’t worry. We’re not talking about the election again… But we do have a couple of new members on the Sarofsky Cabinet. Now introducing, long-time freelancers, first time hires: Dan Tiffany (Designer) and Cory Davis (Creative Finishing/VFX Artist)! It was a bit like pulling teeth trying to get some fun facts from these two yahoos. But we did it. Read on…

Before falling in love with motion graphics, Dan worked as a phlebotomist for five years. But just because he spent so much time in a lab, doesn’t mean he’s as pasty-white as a vampire. In fact, Dan loves the outdoors and is an avid cyclist. He once biked 260 miles in just two days… But then couldn’t walk for three. Ouch. Self-inflicting pain is kind of a theme with Dan… His tattoos (covering approximately 50% of his body) are 75% self-inked. Guess that phlebotomist work really helped with his fear of needles…

Cory is different from Dan in that… Well, in pretty much every way. Whereas Dan loves a good, smushy little alien, Cory was traumatized by E.T. as a child and to this day, cannot stand the thought of him and his dumb face sitting in that bicycle basket. But what theatrical piece does Cory enjoy, you ask? He basically lives for the 1980 hit, Flash Gordan. In fact, he calls it “the finest example of American cinema. Ever.” But don’t worry. Cory doesn’t just sit inside, shivering and whimpering at the thought of E.T…. When time permits, he enjoys getting out the soldering iron and building his own guitar effects pedals. #MAN.

Welcome to the fam bam, Dan and Cory! Glad to have you here!
